Once again we need to talk about how the Loan modification is working for the homes for sale in Sacramento. If the national figures are correct, then we are in trouble. The latest report says that of the four percent of the home owners who signed up for the loan modification program, only about 31,000 have received them by the end of November.
Never guess who is doing the worst out or the larger lender. That is right how did you know it was Bank of America. They did a whopping 98 modifications. Amazing. The leader of the larger lender was GMAC mortgage. they had 7,100. I am sorry but I fail to understand why this is such a problem for the lenders, especially with all of the incentives and the potential savings for the mortgage companies.
OK are you ready for the blame game. The LENDERS have blamed their lack of success in part on the failure of the BUYER to complete the paperwork necessary for the process. What a bunch of crap. A little effort and documentation written in language a home owner can understand without having a law degree might be helpful. Hope they get their stuff together soon.
